TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:

There are two airports from which to choose:

Daytona International (DAB)

and

Orlando International (MCO)

 

Daytona International is much closer to Stetson University than Orlando International is.

Right now (mid-June) flights to Daytona International are about the same price as flights to Orlando International. If you book your flight early enough, flying into Daytona International is better because you can avoid having to take a long shuttle ride from Orlando to DeLand.

If you wait until September or October to buy your airline ticket, the price will most likely be considerably higher at Daytona International than flights into Orlando International because the Daytona airport is smaller and has fewer flights. However, the savings may be mostly offset by the cost of the shuttle ticket from Orlando to Deland.

If you buy your ticket early enough, you should plan on flying into Daytona International and I can probably arrange for rides to campus if the arrival times are clustered together enough.
