The Department of Theology
at Loyola University Chicago invites
applications for a
tenure-track position in Patristics at the rank of
assistant professor to begin
in August 2007. We are especially
interested in candidates
with expertise in the area of historical
theology who can teach the
period of late Christian antiquity (from the
third through the sixth
century of the Common Era.) Candidates should be
able to teach broadly in the
history and theology of the patristic era
and may specialize in a
particular theme or figure of that period.
Special attention will be
given to candidates who are knowledgeable
about the issues during this
period that are of ethical importance.
