18th Meeting of the Black Catholic Theological Symposium

Saint Meinrad Archabbey, Saint Meinrad, IN

October 18th – 21st, 2007

The wait is over! Father Cyprian Davis has arranged for a block of rooms swathed in monastic luxury at an affordable price! The Archabbey Guest House and Retreat Center, dedicated in 2005, is just the place for a quiet, reflective, peaceful stay.

Father Cyprian’s co-worker, Ms. Cathy Schwindel, has reserved several single- and double-rooms for an excellent price - $275 for single rooms, and $475 for double rooms. That’s for the whole meeting, meals included!

The Guest Rooms of Saint Meinrad feature comfortable twin beds, private bathrooms, desks and lounge chair, and internet access (but not wireless). There are also two internet computers in the lobby for those who need short-term access, e.g., for checking email. The Guest Rooms provide everything you need in terms of linens, towels, etc., but don’t forget to bring your own toiletries. For a virtual tour of the Guest House, visit this web site:

You can pay for your comfortable, affordable room with VISA, Mastercard, or Discover, but not American Express. You can also pay with a personal check when you arrive. This wonderful opportunity won’t last long, however. You need to call Cathy Schwindel by September 24 in order to reserve your room, and say that you’re a member of the BCTS. If the deadline elapses, there might not be any more rooms left. Please don’t wait until the last minute and rob yourself of the opportunity to convene, share ideas, renew friendships, and hear presentations from your colleagues at Saint Meinrad Archabbey!

Transportation:

St. Meinrad Archabbey sits almost directly on the Indiana/Kentucky border. For those of you who will be flying, you’ll need to get tickets to the Louisville International Airport, which is 72 miles away from Saint MeinradWe’ll try to coordinate our arrival and departure times so that we can travel in groups. We might be able to arrange for a seminarian to come for us in a van, but at the very least we can rent cars and travel in groups of 4 or 5. Our first event is tentatively scheduled for 5:00 on Thursday October 18, so you should plan for an arrival time of no later than 2:30.

See you in October!!!!
